What commercial mechanical services does EST perform?
EST performs commercial mechanical construction, HVAC equipment replacement, hydronic piping, sheet metal, controls coordination, facility renewal and Job Order Contracting. Typical scopes include chillers, boilers, pumps, AHUs, RTUs, mechanical-room piping, ductwork, valves, testing and turnover.
What types of facilities does EST support?
EST focuses on commercial, institutional and public-sector facilities, including occupied buildings where access, shutdowns, safety, documentation and schedule coordination are critical.
What geographic area does EST serve?
Dallas-Fort Worth and North Texas are EST’s core operating area. Selected strategic capital projects elsewhere in Texas are evaluated through the Texas Special Projects program.

Job Order Contracting & Facility Renewal
Does EST perform Job Order Contracting?
Yes. EST supports JOC, MRO and facility-renewal mechanical work from field verification and measurable scope development through estimating, procurement, supervised execution, testing and closeout.
Can public agencies procure EST through cooperative contracts?
EST maintains TIPS contract vehicles supporting facility MRO, energy-efficiency JOC/non-JOC work and trades/labor/materials procurement. Eligibility and use depend on the purchasing authority, contract terms and project requirements.
Can EST support prevailing-wage or Davis-Bacon projects?
EST supports public-sector work subject to prevailing-wage or Davis-Bacon requirements when they apply. Labor classifications, documentation, access and site requirements are reviewed during project planning.
EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT

Does EST replace commercial chillers and boilers?
Yes. Scope may include isolation, drain-down, demolition, rigging, equipment setting, piping modifications, valves, pumps, controls coordination, testing and startup support.
What other HVAC equipment does EST replace or install?
EST supports AHUs, RTUs, pumps, VAV-related mechanical work and other commercial HVAC equipment where piping, ductwork, controls interfaces and turnover are part of the scope.
Does EST coordinate crane, rigging and equipment setting?
Yes. Where required, EST coordinates delivery, crane, rigging, lifting and equipment-setting activities within the mechanical replacement plan.

Does EST perform hydronic piping and mechanical-room work?
Yes. EST performs chilled-water, heating-water and equipment piping including valves, strainers, gauges, supports, pumps and equipment interfaces.
What piping connection methods does EST use?
Depending on the system and project requirements, EST performs commercial carbon-steel piping using grooved and threaded methods and copper piping with brazed connections where appropriate.
Does EST perform testing, flushing and system refill?
Where included in the project scope, EST supports pressure testing, flushing, refill or treatment coordination, startup preparation and turnover.

What commercial sheet-metal work does EST perform?
EST performs commercial duct installation and renovation, equipment transitions, demolition, air-device installation, supports and coordinated field modifications supporting HVAC equipment, exhaust and ventilation systems.
Can sheet-metal work be coordinated with equipment replacement?
Yes. Airside modifications are commonly coordinated with RTU, AHU and other equipment replacement where existing ductwork, transitions, supports or air distribution must be modified to suit the new installation.

Can EST work in occupied public or institutional facilities?
Yes. Occupied-facility work is planned around access, isolation, shutdown windows, safety, temporary conditions, owner operations and documented return-to-service requirements.
Does EST coordinate controls and BAS interfaces?
EST coordinates mechanical equipment interfaces with controls and BAS requirements when included in the scope, including device replacement, point coordination, sequence support and startup interfaces.
What documentation can EST provide at closeout?
Depending on project requirements, EST supports submittals, RFIs, field documentation, testing records, startup coordination, warranties, O&M information, as-builts and closeout packages.
